On Sunday morning 9 residents (2 being staff of The Royal Oak / The Rose & Crown) were taught CPR and how to use a defibrillator by Lucy, from the Training section of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIoWAA). Fridge magnets were also given out to record house locations using the App 'What 3 Words' (for use by Emergency Services). We will be looking at running a Fund Raising Event at The Royal Oak for HIoWAA, this will include things for children and a go in a simulator. With grateful thanks to HIoWAA for a very informative, relaxing session which helped to alay many fears about CPR and using a Defib. If there is demand we will organise more courses next year.
