16 'Marlene' Roses were planted in the War Memorial Rose Gardens on Gosport Road yesterday (8 in each bed). The existing roses were struggling to survive and were taken out as there was too much disparity between the 2 sets of roses. Thanks to Cllr Williams and Cllr Maughan for planting the new roses. The Parish Council have now sorted out the issue of watering (Bahnstormers are kindly doing this for us). The rose gardens are now being looked after (weeding / feeding etc) by our garden maintenance contractor P.J.Grace.
