Following Thursday's Farringdon Parish Council meeting, we have now ordered new equipment for the playground, as it was felt that there was a lack of equipment for both Toddlers and Older Children.
As a result:
The zip-wire is being removed (we know this was popular, but it was costing upwards of £1000+ per year to maintain and is currently still closed, also only one child could use this large area at a time). In this space there will now be: a raised see-saw that spins 360 / a Mini Trampoline / Spinners / and a Basket Swing.
The single springer is being removed and a new one for 4 children put in its place.
The roundabout is being removed and in its place will be a Toddler Multiplay Unit.
We will let you know when the project is due to begin, as obviously the park will need to close for the work to be done. We are also awaiting a date for the existing equipment to have maintenance repairs.
